Description
English: An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Fighting Redcocks" of Strike Fighter Squadron 22, prepares for an arrested recovery on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan relieved USS Dwight D. Eisenhower as Commander, Task Force 50, July 6, and launched its first sorties to Afghanistan to support Operation Enduring Freedom. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
