English: The U.S. Navy submarine tender USS Proteus (AS-19), left, at Midway, sometime between 3 May and 1 December 1944. USS Aegir (AS-23) is at right. Proteus is wearing Camouflage Measure 32, Design 5AS and Aegir is in Camouflage Measure 31, Design 12F.
