English: Marines and sailors with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group perform Child’s Pose during a PITAIYO class in the medical facility aboard the USS Peleliu, Dec. 7. PITAIYO, an acronym for put it together all in your orbit, is a fusion of Pilates, Tai-chi, and yoga blended into one class. It is designed to increase core strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. The class is another opportunity Marines and sailors have to allow their minds to decompress from the stresses of deployment. The 15th MEU is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
