Description The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge (CV-33) at anchor at Yokosuka, Japan. Kearsarge underwent the SCB-27A modernisation from February 1950 to March 1952 at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. She was then deployed to Korea with Carrier Air Group 101 (CVG-101) from 11 August 1952 to 17 March 1953. Note the bow of USS Fort Marion (LSD-22) on the right.
