English: The U.S. Navy fleet oiler USS Housatonic (AO-35) coming alongside USS Ranger (CV-4) to begin a replenishment at sea, 17 July 1942. Ranger was carrying U.S. Army Curtiss P-40s to Africa. Housatonic's camouflage is Measure 12 (modified).
