Description
English: 151102-N-SU278-011 WATERS OFF OKINAWA, Japan – Cmdr. Severn Stevens, executive officer aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) briefs family members and friends of the crew, who are embarked as part of a “Tiger Cruise” from Okinawa to Germantown’s forward-deployed homeport in Sasebo, Japan. Germantown is hosting a Tiger Cruise, where friends and family members of the crew have a chance at a few days underway aboard the ship. Finishing up its fall patrol, Germantown completed Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2015 with Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Blue Chromite, a joint exercise with the U.S. Marine Corps.
