Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Cross (DE-448) possibly in New York Harbor (USA), in December 1944. Note that Cross at this point had no torpedo tubes so may have just been delivered from the builder before being commissioned on 8 January 1945. Cross is fitted with a SU radar above the bridge and a direction finding antenna on the stack. She is painted in Camouflage Measure 33a, Design 31D. Cross was the only ship painted in Design 31D.
