Description
English: USS Constitution crewmember Culinary Specialist Seaman Jamie Anhert puts the finishing touches on an Old Ironsides cake for Six Frigates Day. The day commemorates President George Washington's signing of the Naval Armament Act of 1794, which authorized the building of the first six ships for the U.S. Navy. USS Constitution was the third finished but the last of the original six still in existence and the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.
