Description U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Sept. 14, 2014) U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Joseph Crider, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), platoon commander and native of Brentwood, Tenn., conducts a tire flip work out of the day in remembrance of 9/11 aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). Bataan Sailors and 22nd MEU Marines flipped the tire 9,625 times in 14 hours. The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
