English: (AG-31) At the Pearl Harbor Navy Yard on 11 August 1941 during a refit. The ship, previously unarmed, had her long-assigned armament of 4 5/51 guns (one visible here) and 4 3 anti-aircraft guns installed during this refit. The ship is being repainted into Measure One camouflage. Note the radio antennas rigged from Argonne's after kingposts amd masts, to support her role as flagship of the Base Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
