Description
English: Operation Chinook II 3rd Marine Division, Vietnam. Photograph taken just after Corpsman attached to "A" Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, reached the body of Dr. Bernard Fall, still alive. The Corpsmen were treating him (left) and listening for a heartbeat (center). The Corpsman in the rear was giving artificial respiration to Gunnery Sergeant Highland, who lived approximately 15 minutes longer.
