The warrior meal was served to the Reserve Marines who participated in the Marine Forces Reserve exercises Texas Phoenix and Javelin Thrust 2009 June 6-20. Food service technicians from the 14th Marine Regiment and 4th Marine Logistics Group combined forces in the field at Fort Hood, Texas to prepare and cook more than 1,800 warrior meals which consisted of Texas steak, bacon-wrapped shrimp, Texas toast, steamed potatoes, boiled carrots, cheese cake and apple pie. |
