English: Padsha, an Afghan National Policeman, plays his percussion instrument during a party with the ANP and Marines, June 23. The party was held in honor of Cpt. Phillip Noack, a civil affairs team leader with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2. After a traditional Afghan meal, the Padsha and other policemen played music, sang, and danced. Padsha played his drum with passion and several times had to pour water on it to cool it off from his beating. His intense beats continued to impress the Marines and had the crowd clapping along throughout the night. Relationships and bonds were formed through the music and dancing, and the Marines hope these relationships will help them to work with their Afghan partners.(Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
