English: Santa Claus and other volunteers exit a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 764 Dec. 16, 2009, at the village of the Havasupai, a Native American tribe living on the floor of the Grand Canyon. During the event, Santa handed out several gifts from Toys for Tots to the children of the village. The previous day, three Sea Knights made several trips into the canyon, each time dropping off loads of toys and food to the tribe for the holidays. The reserve squadron, based at Edwards Air Force Base north of Los Angeles, has flown toys to the village's children for Christmas for the past 14 years. |
