English: Members of E Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, run into the back of an MV-22 Osprey outside of an urban training range in Twentynine Palms, Calif., on Oct. 10, 2009. The company's 1st Platoon flew from the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz, to Twentynine Palms, Calif., in order to raid a town and capture an insurgent leader, simulating a mission they could be called to perform during their next deployment. The battalion, based in Twentynine Palms, is scheduled to deploy with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in early 2010, with E Company assigned to specialize in helicopter insertions and raids. |
