(May 21, 2005) A Sikorsky VH-3D Sea King helicopters, assigned to Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1), flies past the crowd at the 2005 Joint Service Open House. The VH-3D was flying President George W. Bush the White House from Andrews Air Force Base, Md. The President was returning from Grand Rapids, Mich., after giving a graduation speech to the 2005 graduates of Calvin College. HMX-1 provides all helicopter transportation for the President both overseas and within the continental United States. The Open House, held May 20-22, showcased civilian and military aircraft from the Nation's armed forces, which provided many flight demonstrations and static displays.
