Description
English: U.S. Marine Corps Goodyear FG-1D Corsairs of Marine Fighting Squadron 323 (VMF-323) "Death Rattlers" of the 2nd Marine Air Wing return from a rocket strike against Japanese positions south of the front lines on Okinawa, in June 1945. The "Rattlers" were commanded by Major George C. Axtell, of Laguna, California (USA).
