Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District marked another milestone on the Isabella Lake dam safety modification project Jan. 18, 2017, breaking ground on the new U.S. Forest Service fire station off of Highway 178 in Lake Isabella, CA. The relocation of the fire station (and USFS administrative space in Kernville) will clear the way for Phase II construction of the project, designed to address overtopping, seismic and seepage issues identified with Isabella Lake’s main and auxiliary dams.
