Description

IMPROVING INFRASTRUCTURE “I am very thankful to the United States Agency for International Development and to the Power Distribution Program for establishing an Information Technology (IT) lab in the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) Regional Training Center. This center will enable HESCO’s workers to be IT literate. This center will help build IT skill in HESCO’s workforce.” Hyderabad Electric Supply Company Chief Executive Officer Muzaffar Abbasi Dated: June 20, 2014


(Pictured Above) Modernizing Technological Learning at HESCO: USAID Power Distribution Program established an IT lab at HESCO’s Regional Training Center (RTC). The lab which will help enhance the delivery and effectiveness of all types of training programs, which in turn will improve employee job performance. Through this project, USAID is equipping six RTCs with fully modernized IT labs – each lab is equipped with computer hardware, furniture and fixtures, and has the capacity to train 25 DISCO staff.
