Description
English: The flag of the United Nations (UN) flying over fading golden letters on the facade of "Palais Wilson", which honours US President Woodrow Wilson as the founder of the League of Nations at its first permanent headquarters with a picturesque view on Lake Geneva. It currently hosts the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and is still named after the 1919 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, although he has received growing criticism for being a supporter of racial segregation and white supremacy. Photo taken and uploaded for "Wiki Loves Switzerland 2020" as it highlights the Swiss tradition of hosting international and intergovernmental organisations.
