Description
English: On a British cover, posted on 5 June 1953 in Leicester, it bears a 4 pence (4D) stamp figuring late King George VI, issued in 1950 on a design first issued in 1937. It was cancelled with a slogan cancellation proclaming "Long live to the Queen" - Elizabeth II - crowned on the precedent 2 June.
Français : Sur une enveloppe du Royaume-Uni, postée le 5 juin 1953 à Leicester, elle porte un timbre de 4 pence (4D) à l'effigie du défunt roi George VI, émis en 1950 selon un type émis pour la première fois en 1937. Elle est oblitérée d'une flamme souhaitant "Longue vie à la reine" - Élisabeth II - couronnée le 2 juin précédent.
