La Willis Tower (appelée Sears Tower jusqu'à l'été 2009) est un gratte-ciel de Chicago (Illinois, États-Unis), achevé en 1974 et œuvre de l'architecte Bruce Graham. Il fut le plus haut gratte-ciel du monde de 1974 à 1998. C'est à ce jour l'immeuble le plus haut du continent américain. Dépassant l'ancien World Trade Center, c'était également le bâtiment le plus haut du monde (442 mètres et 108 étages) entre 1974 et 2004 jusqu'à la construction du Taipei 101 de Taipei à Taïwan, cette dernière étant surclassée le 12 août 2007 par la tour Burj Khalifa à Dubaï en Émirats arabes unis (828 m).1 L'adresse officielle de l'édifice est le 233 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60606. |
