Español: UGC 3697 LEDA 20348 La galaxia del símbolo integral

Es una espiral super delgada vista de canto en Camelopardalis (La Jirafa), el disco está muy alabeado (warp) probablemente como resultado de interacciones con galaxias vecinas, en particular con UGC 3714 que es la galaxia espiral de cara que aparece abajo a la izda. Según Simbad tiene un z ~ .01 que la sitúa a unos 150 millones de años luz. Estas imágenes se hicieron en una noche con la atmósfera muy limpia por la lluvia caida por la tarde, con poca Luna y sin viento, la larga exposición de casi 9h revela objetos muy débiles.
