Description
English: Right shoulder board of a Rear Admiral (paygrade O-8) in the United States Navy. These shoulder boards come in left and right versions with the end of the anchor rope (the "bitter end") pointing aft, i.e. towards the wearer's back. The anchor was taken from the public domain image [US Navy O10 shoulderboard.svg], but has been improved for accuracy. It will eventually be replaced with a far more accurate image showing the twisted rope and constructed to resemble the embordered stars in this image.
