English: TANDUO BEACH, Malaysia (Nov. 10, 2015) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Cody Hoag learns how to disassemble a machine gun from Malaysian soldiers during Malaysia-United States Amphibious Exercise 2015. Hoag is a machine gunner with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. During MALUS AMPHEX 15, Marines with the 15th MEU and Malaysian soldiers exchanged infantry weapon capabilities and tactics. The purpose of the exercise was to strengthen military cooperation in the planning and execution of amphibious operations between Malaysian armed forces and U.S. Marines. The 15th MEU is currently deployed in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to promote regional stability and security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
