Description
English: August 19, 2019 – U.S. Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Matthew J. Matthews, launched the American Shelf at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Library with Acting Vice-Chancellor Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib.

American Shelf Launch at UTB - gift Ambassador Matthews hands a gift to Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB Haji Ady Syarmin bin Haji Md Taib Ambassador Matthews gave remarks at the event. “The goal of the American Shelf is to provide information and resources about the United States, and it features particularly strong collections on technology, business, and careers. The American Shelf will also provide information on U.S. education and Embassy exchange programs.”

“I am confident the American Shelf will have a wonderful home at the UTB Library,” Ambassador Matthews concluded.

American Shelf Launch at UTB- Group

The American Shelf houses a collection of over 200 books donated by the U.S. Embassy, addressing U.S. business, entrepreneurship, careers, technology, and history.
