Description blog.usaid.gov February 4, 2010, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Personnel from USAID's Los Angeles County (CA) and Fairfax County (VA) Urban Search and Rescue teams donate an estimated $500,000 in search and rescue equipment to the Cap-Haïtien Fire Department. USAID's teams used this equipment in their rescues of Haitians trapped under rubble after a major earthquake struck Haiti on January 12, 2010. Photo credit: S.Schomig / USAID
