Michael Johnson, a combat arms instructor with the 157th Security Forces Squadron of the New Hampshire National Guard, runs the 5000 meter portion of the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge test at the University of New Hampshire in Durham,N.H., Oct. 13, 2011. Johnson and 14 other guardsmen participated in the rigorous physical testing, which included, track and field events, shooting, swimming, and a 7 1/2 mile march.
