Deutsch: U-Bahnstation Karlsplatz / Umsteigstelle U1-U2

Peter Koglers Gestaltung des Zwischengeschosses der U-Bahn-Station Karlsplatz zielt auf eine virtuelle Erweiterung des realen Raumgefüges. Die geometrischen Röhrenformen, die im Werk des Künstlers ein zentrales Motiv bilden, erinnern an die allgegenwärtige Mediatisierung und Technologisierung. Die Installation wurde in Kooperation von WIENER LINIEN und KÖR Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Wien realisiert. Siebdruck auf Glas / Ausführung: STEINDL GLAS GmbH

English: Peter Kogler`s solution for the mezzanine floor of the Karlsplatz subway station is aimed at virtually extending its real spatial structure. The geometric pipe forms, which feature prominently in the artist`s work, remind us of the all-pervasive mediatization and technologization of today`s world. The installation was realized as a joint project of WIENER LINIEN and KÖR Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Wien.
