Summary

[edit]
Description
English: With half a reason to visit Ambleside and another half to visit Orton along with a better than awful forecast I headed to Cumbria to see the first mainline excursion of 2018. With flooded roads in the Lakes and roadworks on the A66 I only got to Shap in time to head to the bridge that carries Wainwright's famous Coast-to-Coast walk over the West Coast Main Line. Not a morning for trains in the landscape so a close up shot of Galatea passing Shap village was the result.
