Description
English: Two U.S. Navy Douglas A-1H Skyraider (BuNo 134508, 134533) of Attack Squadron 165 (VA-165) "Boomers" in flight, in 1962. VA-165 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 16 (CVG-16) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CVA-34) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 17 June to 17 December 1962.
  • 134508 was transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1968 and assigned to the 602nd Special Operations Squadron. It was shot down by ground fire near Sopka, Laos on 20 December 1968. The pilot ejected and was rescued.
  • 134533 was written off on 30 September 1963 while in service with VA-196.
