Summary
[edit]DescriptionTuxedo Royale moored under the Tyne Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 1167393.jpg |
English: The Tuxedo Royale (the former car ferry TSS Dover), in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, where it is pictured permanently moored as a floating nightclub under the Tyne Bridge, on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne. Not to be confused with the similar Tuxedo Princess, which also held this role in this position both before and after the Royale. The ship appears to be wearing a giant red 'nose' on the bridge, perhaps marking Red Nose Day 1999, held two days earlier on 12 March. Much of the Swing Bridge can also be seen. |
