Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This tunnel lead to the tunnel bisecting it on Essex Street. Above housed the Essex Bank, Salem Bank, Naumkeag Trust, and the Eastern Bank through time. This building had at least 6 tunnel entrances after 6 buildings were attached to this basement. Now only two buildings stand on top. In the basement is also a tomb of two runaway slaves.
