Español: Tumba 2 de Hacienda Botella. El hallazgo en Hacienda Botella es un hito excepcional en la arqueología ibérica, al documentarse una pira funeraria de troncos de olivo y algarrobo para la cremación de al menos cuatro personas. Valga recordar que solo se conoce un hecho similar en todo el territiorio ibero siendo este, no obstante, bastante oscuro en sus detalles.
Su definición es problemática pues algunos investigadores lo describen como "bustum" -la pira se convierte en la propia tumba del difunto-mientras otros postulan su carácter de "ustrinum" , esto es, los restos de la cremación serían con posterioridad recogidos y trasladados a otro lugar. A favor de los primeros estaría que el último de los cadáveres presentaba íntegra su masa ósea, mientras que por la misma razón pero a la inversa -la escazez de huesos de los otros tres individuos-, se puede convenir que el grueso de sus restos fueron alojados en otro sitito. En cualquier, caso está claro que todo el proceso fue consecutivo, pues fragmentos cerámicos de la parte superior de la pira pegaban con otros localizados a cotas bastante más profundas. Resulta sugestivo rememorar este episodio de la vida y la muerte de estos iberos en torno al año 200 a. C. ¿Qué fatal suceso unió el destino final de estos tres adultos y un niño? ¿Acaso una epidemia? ¿Por qué el último cadáver no se consumió sobre una pira que tampoco se extinguió de forma natural? ¿Tal vez algún incidente acabó, de repente, con esta última cremación.
