The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this true-color image the same day. On February 2, 2010, the U.S. Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Center reported that Fami was roughly 150 nautical miles (275 kilometers) southwest of Antananarivo, Madagascar.
