Description
English: Members of a U.S. Army female engagement team, attached to Troop B, 1st Squadron, 33rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), talk to Afghan children near the village of Anar Bagh, Oct. 27, 2012. FETs are used by battle-space commanders to help soldiers conduct street-level engagements with the local population because of their non-hostile presence and their ability to bridge the cultural gap between male soldiers and Afghan females.
