Italiano: La cartina mostra le "tre Venezie", concetto risalente al linguista Graziadio Isaia Ascoli, il quale nel 1863 identificò tre regioni, largamente popolate da italofoni ma politicamente soggette all'Impero austro-ungarico: "Venezia Euganea" (Veneto proprio + Friuli), "Venezia Tridentina" (attuale Trentino-Alto Adige), "Venezia Giulia".
La Venezia Euganea fu unita all'Italia nel 1866, mentre le altre due Venezie nel 1919, in seguito alla Prima guerra mondiale; la Venezia Giulia andò perduta quasi interamente dopo la Seconda guerra mondiale ed oggi solo una piccola porzione è rimasta all'Italia. La cartina mira ad evidenziare le acquisizioni italiane dopo la I guerra mondiale in rapporto alla Venezia Euganea e all'intero Regno d'Italia; non è tuttavia mostrata la provincia di Zara in Dalmazia, in quanto non territorialmente contigua al resto del Paese. |
