Español: Placa de la muestra escultórica de artistas latinoamericanos Travesías de Xico por América Latina. Compañero de sueños y travesías en la plaza San Francisco de Asís de La Habana Vieja, organizada por la Oficina del Historiador con la Dirección de Patrimonio Cultural y la diseñadora y empresaria mexicana Cristina Pineda, creadora de este personaje inspirado en un perro xoloitzcuintle que a su vez hace referencia al Xólotl de la mitología mexicana (una de las misiones de este perro era acompañar a los muertos en su viaje en la eternidad, del mismo modo en que el dios Xólotl era acompañante del viaje del Sol por el inframundo). La exposicón reunió 16 esculturas de 1.80 metros de los artistas latinoamericanos Eduardo Roca (Choco), Carlos Guzmán, Ángel Ramírez, Darlyn Delgado, Víctor Mora, Lyzbeth Labañino, Mariana García Botello, Sandra de Huelbes/Karen Rivero, Francisco Gordillo, Héctor López, Rafael Pantoja (Frank Mysterio), Cisco Merel, Andrés Orjuela, Rolando de Sedas (Rolo), Leticia Gutiérrez Rojas, Isha Judd (Fundación Educando por la Paz), Luis Enrique Gómez y Cristina Pineda. |
