1920, we had operated on 83 patients withgastrojejunal ulcer, of which 47 followed gastro-enterostomiesperformed in the Clinic for benign duodenal or gastric ulcerand 36 followed primary operations elsewhere.6 In a numberof this group the permanent silk suture was found hangingin the ulcers indurated area and in others it had apparentlybut recently passed out; in 4 instances the sutures have beenfound hanging from the ulcer area and exposed to the gastricfluids four years following the operation, and in a largernumber of cases the same condition has been found aftershorter periods following operation. In such cases thepatient complains much as before the operation and thetrouble is more continuous. The roentgenogram gives valuable aid in the diagnosisof gastrojejunal ulcer in about 80 per cent, of cases. In3 instances we have seen such ulceration perforate the colonand produce a gastrojejunal-colic fistula. If the ulcer areais small its excision is advisable and the opening should be
