fatal results. Imust state that none of the cases showed any signs of peritonitis, savetwo of the interstitial ectopic pregnancies, in which life had beenprolonged for some days. The solitary case of ovarian pregnancy that I encountered was onenot exceeding three weeks gestation ; the right ovary contained ahemorrhagic mass with rupture of its capsule, and without being ableto find the embryo anywhere. The mass of new-formed tissue in theovary contained plainly foetal structures, as shown upon careful micro-scopical sections, that were also scrutinized by some of the experiencedeyes of my colleagues. The uterus was somewhat enlarged and showeda distinct, fully developed decidua. There was chronic salpingitis, butno other alterations in the Fallopian tubes. I do not wish to go into the literature of this subject at the time, butthe existence of ovarian pregnancy is of late regarded as an establishedfact, though not universally believed in.
