Description
Français : Tramway de Royan - Quelques Villas. Normalement les convois des tramways de Royan étaient composés d'une locomotive et de trois baladeuses : un maximum pour la puissance et l'adhérence "021.T", mais, par contre, les "0301.T", elles plus puissantes, pouvaient en acheminer quatre ; ce qui était assez rares, car il n'y avait que deux 031.T (trois toutefois vers 1900 et pendant peu de temps) et que, par ailleurs, d'après de nombreux témoignages de ceux qui avaient connu les tramways de Royan (disparus dès 1945 pour les voyageurs et 1947/48 pour des trains de matériaux,) des deux "031.T", l'une stationnait les jours de pointes en réserve et secours éventuels à Pontaillac.
English: Royan Tramway - Some Villas. Normally, the Royan trains were made up of one 0-4-2T locomotive and three open sided carriages: a maximum for power and grip, but the more powerful 0-6-2T locomotives could houl four carriages. This was quite rare, as there were only two 0-6-2T locomotives (apart from a short time around 1900, when there were three) and, according to the many accounts of those who knew the Royan tramways (which disappeared in 1945 for passengers and in 1947/48 for material trains), of the two 0-6-2T locomotives, one was stationed at Pontaillac on peak days as a reserve and possible back-up.
