En associant aussi la couleur bleue du campêche à la cou-leur rouge des bois ou à celle de la cochenille , on forme des vio-lets dune richesse extrême, mais qui malheureusement saltèrentpromptement à la lumière ; cest ainsi quon a obtenu léchantil-lon 206, fond violet impression blanc enlevage : £OG. Fond violet au bois avec impression blanc enlevage sur mordant.

R Après avoir foulardé dans le mordant rouge B , on a procédéimmédiatement à limpression blanc enlevage , dégorgé à leaude craie et à leau courante, puis teint à une basse températuredans un bain de campêche auquel on avait ajouté une certainequantité de décoction de Lima, pour donner à la couleur uneteinte violacée , et de la colle-forte, pour que les parties blanchesfussent, autant que possible, respectées à la teinture. On a beaucoup fabriqué autrefois un genre mouchoir violetamarante, dont lexécution rentre tout-à-fait dans celle de lé-chantillon ci-dessus, si ce nest que le Lima y est remplacé parla cochenille.
