Summary
[edit]DescriptionTrain at Attymon Junction.jpg |
English: At MP 107.2 on the main railway line from Dublin to Galway, Attymon Junction was the junction for the 9 mile branch to Loughrea. Opened in 1890, the branch line closed on 3 November 1975 (although the last train was on 1 November), and little now remains. One of CIE's German built G-class diesel hydraulic locomotives brings a train into the branch platform at Attymon. |
