English: Constable Renee Roberts, Antigua and Barbuda Fire Services with Coolidge Fire Station, monitors the vital signs of Junior Monford, a lifeguard with the Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism, during a mass casualty training exercise here on June 4. Monford and several other lifeguards volunteered as role players, simulating injured plane crash survivors during an Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) training exercise. The exercise tested the response capabilities of local emergency services and ABDF members in search and rescue, medical triage, and treatment tactics and procedures as part of Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
