Français : A Toulouse (Haute-Garonne, France), dans l'église Saint-Pierre-des-Chartreux, instrument emblématique de l'école de facture d'orgues toulousaine puisqu'il fut érigé à Toulouse dans le couvent des Jacobins où fonctionna dès 1644 le premier atelier de facture d'orgues du Sud-Ouest et qu'il vit passer dès lors tous les grands noms de la facture d'orgues venus s'installer dans cette ville:
Robert Delaunay qui le construisit en 1682, les frères en religion Jean-Esprit Isnard (chef de file de la facture provençale, dominicain de Tarascon dans les Bouches-du-Rhône, venu à plusieurs reprises se perfectionner dans la région), en collaboration avec Joseph-Dominique Cavaillé (dominicain du couvent de Toulouse et arrière-grand-oncle du célèbre Aristide Cavaillé-Coll) qui l'agrandirent vers 1750, Jean-Baptiste Micot fils qui le restaura en 1784, le sauva des troubles révolutionnaires en le classant dans les orgues remarquables et à conserver lors du recensement ordonné par l'administration républicaine et le transféra en 1792 à St Pierre-des-Chartreux devenue église paroissiale, enfin Eugène Puget qui le restaura en 1880. Il fut reconstruit en 1983 dans une esthétique classique en réutilisant le maximum de matériel ancien par le facteur catalan d'origine germanique Gerhard Grenzing. |
