TOSHIBA TECRA8000.

Grey Toshiba laptop with “TOSHIBA “embossed on the front at the top. At the front edge of the device, there are a series of symbols followed by the word “RESET” which has been embossed next to a hole with a reset button inside. Below this is a disk drive which has been embossed with the label “COMPACT / disc”. On the left side of the device are a series of ports secured behind panels which can be slid or opened to access features. On the right side of the device are a series of ports and switches. At the rear of the device, there are a series of ports and attachments for cables, symbols and the words “Video out / DC IN 15V” have been embossed to indicate the function of these.

On the back, there is a printed sticker with white text reading “TOSHIBA / TECRA8000 SYSTEM UNIT / MODEL NO. PAT800A L000 / DC 15V = / 3.0A / [symbols] / SERIAL NO. / Y8017003 / TOSHIBA CORPORATION / MADE IN JAPAN / ACN 001 320 421”.

The device folds open from a hinge to display a glass screen and keyboard. On the base of the device, “TOSHIBA” has been embossed in the top right corner. “TECRA8000”is printed at the right-hand side next to two stickers. The first sticker is printed with “Designed for [windows logo]® Microsoft® / Windows NT® / Windows®98” in black. The second sticker is printed with “MMX® / intel inside / Pentium® / PROCESSION”. Below this is an alpha-numeric keyboard with the keys labelled in white print. Underneath the keyboard are two arched buttons.
