Español: Situada fuera del núcleo urbano, en la Punta del Rayo y sobre la playa de la Galera, es una torre vigía realizada en mampostería y de planta cilíndrica, que formaba parte de la línea defensiva de la costa. Los torreros avisaban del avistamiento de navíos enemigos, encendiendo una hoguera y de este modo las tropas acuartaladas se ponían en estado de alerta tras el avistamiento de la señal. Fue reconstruida en el Renacimiento, sufriendo importantes reformas. En la actualidad se encuentra totalmente rehabilitada y ha sido declarada Monumento de Interés Cultural. |
