Description
Català: Torre de la Calaforra d'Elx, sala neonassarita. Aquesta sala primitivament s'utilitzava com a menjador de la família.

Aquest és un dels dos espais oberts a l'interior de la mateixa torre defensiva. Es pot considerar una de les sales més romàntiques de l'edifici, ja que s'hi pretén recrear un àmbit d'inspiració nassarita, quasi obert a l'exterior, envoltat per paisatges d'aquell Elx que fascinava als visitants huitcentistes.

És interessant ressaltar els llenços nord i sud de la sala. Entre arcs polilobulats i pilastres califals, es poden contemplar escenes il·licitanes: la ciutat, des de la rambla, encara sense el pont de Canalejas (1913); una visió suggeridora d'un hort de palmeres, probablement del carrer Curtidors o Porta de la Morera, i una visió del palmerar històric des de l'actual Hort de Baix. Cal ressenyar també el sòcol de ceràmica granadina, amb les habituals formes geomètriques i la seua característica policromia.

De la mateixa manera destaca l'obertura que permet il·luminar l'estança, la qual dona accés a una finestra de gelosia movible que pot evocar a les de l'Andalusia califal o a les de l'Alhambra.
