English: Tornesch (Germany) – Bockhorn 43 – Hof Mölln (Hof 11) – Residential house from 1907 – Photo: 2019 – The photo shows the residential building of the farm Mölln, which was built 1907 by Johannes Mölln in Wilhelminian-style. It is a two-storey house with a “Risalit” in the middle. On the facade plastered surfaces alternate with brick elements. The original look has been greatly changed by modernization. – The yard number 11 (Halbhufe) comes from the time of the “Verkoppelung” in 1788. Originally Peter Kröger was the owner, later the family Mölln took over the farm. In addition to the residential building, the yard also included a farm building built at the same time and a thatched-roof timber-framed building as reserved property for the parents. This house burned down in 1964, the farm building is still preserved. It has been used since 2000 as an exhibition space for the folkloristic collection of the Tornesch Cultural Community. Agriculture was abandoned in 1963. |
