Summary
[edit]DescriptionToo fast to see! (16635697478).jpg |
These are two consecutive frames of a snowy egret dip-fishing. This first frame on the left shows the strike for the fish. As the egret made the strike it dropped its feet back into the water - I think that was to help slow its body down. But as the second frame shows, the body travelled faster than the head in the water and so the head was left under the egret's body. In this frame the egret had just pulled its head from the water and was about to pull it back up to its normal position. This all happens so fast in dip-fishing, I am unable to see anything other than a quick splash with the naked eye. The next shot I shall post will show the most extreme position of the snowy egret's head that I have photographed! |
